2008 Youth Bowling Canada National Championships - May 3-5
 

Edmonton and surrounding area bowling centres will be hosting Canada’s largest youth bowling championships. Gateway Entertainment Centre, Callingwood Lanes and Bonnie Doon Lanes in Edmonton, St. Albert Bowling Centre in St. Albert, and Sherwood Bowl in Sherwood Park will host 366 young athletes, 90 coaches, and approximately 1200 parents, guests, and supporters from across Canada. JP Wolves Dinner/Dance Fundraiser - May 17
 

The JP Wolves are holding a Dinner/Dance with a silent auction to raise funds to help send a group of our players to Europe in July. This group of young ladies will travel to Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The fundraiser is at the St. Charles Church at 17511-112 Street starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are only $20.00 and include free parking and your first beverage. Tickets can be purchased by calling Blair at 289-4677.

The King's Kick-Off Golf Tournament
 

On Friday, May 30, the King’s University College Athletics Department will be hosting a Kick-off Golf Tournament, with the inaugural On Wings of an Eagle Benefit Golf Classic set for Saturday, September 6. Both events will take place at the Northern Bear Golf and Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature course, located near Sherwood Park. For more information, click here.


Volunteers Needed - Special Olympics Edmonton Track and Field Meet
 

Special Olympics Edmonton is hosting the Track and Field Meet for the affiliates of Alberta on June 7 and 8. This event is the qualifier for Canada Games for Athletics. Volunteers are required to help run the event. Training is provided. Volunteers can phone 448-1886 or email.


KidSport Edmonton - Board members needed
 

KidSport Edmonton identifies needs in the Edmonton community, raises funds, and supports programs that, in keeping with the mission, create new opportunities for young people to participate in sport. For more information on how you can help, click here.

Capital Region Archery Club Programs
 

The Capital Region Archery Club is a member operated club providing all levels of archery from introductory to Olympics training. Their mission is to promote and develop the sport of archery in a safe and ethical manner by providing programs that encourage participants to enjoy themselves and achieve their personal goals.
