| Purpose | Our goal is to never turn any child away and ensure there is adequate funding available at all times. As part of this goal, we also recognize that as an athlete becomes more successful, there are additional expenses related to their involvement in their sport. In partnership with EnCana, the KidSport program in Alberta is able to provide funding that specifically identifies those athletes that have been recognized at an elite level. |
| Interest | The KidSport™ Elite Performance Grant (EPG) will support athletes that have been recognized at a provincial team level. |
| Application Process | In order to accommodate the varying Provincial Sport Association competition/training schedules, the EPG will be made available based on the following timelines: January-March: $3,500 (seven grants available), April - June: $3,500 (seven grants available), July – September: $4,000 (eight grants available), October – December: $4,000 (eight grants available). |
