The GM of the SPDSA is the face and voice of the organization, reporting to the Board of Directors and serving the membership.  They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including: Implementation of Board Policy and decisions; Monitoring and overseeing financial management and budget preparation of the organization; Management of Office Staff; Developing, planning and delivering programs and services; and establishing, maintaining and advancing community relations.

The Programs Coordinator is responsible for the direction of all on ice instruction/programs and more generally to assist with the delivery of all programs and in-house Youth and adult tournaments.

The Executive Director will work to bridge the board with the club’s administration and the membership in a manner consistent with the vision, mission and core values of the club. The ideal individual brings a combination of experience, leadership and strategic thinking to the role.

The 2012 Pool Lifesaving Championships are being held in Edmonton at the Kinsmen Sports Center on March 23-25. It will feature 10 events and Simulated Emergency Response Competiton.

As a Facility Monitor, you will supervise the gymnasium and flexihalls at Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre during drop-in programs, registered programs, rental bookings and open gym time!  In order to be successful at this position, you'll need to be safety-oriented, have a basic knowledge of gym sports and be able to deliver excellent customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum Bachelor of Kinesiology or related degree, with a Masters’ degree preferred, and five years of coaching experience at the College, University or Professional level.  A minimum full certification at the NCCP Level 3 (or equivalent) is required.  Professional player participation may be considered in lieu of coaching experience.

The City of Edmonton, Alberta will play host  to the 2012 Lifesaving Society's Canadian Pool Lifesaving Championships June 1-3. Volunteers interested in participating in this event may do so by completing an Expression of Interest Form online.
