La Fédération du sport francophone de l’Alberta (FSFA) is looking for volunteer coaches for the 2011 Canadian Francophone Games in Sudbury, Ontario. They are looking for coaches in these sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, canoe-kayak and volleyball. Strong French is essential. This full time position is located in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a love and passion for sport and figure skating and the desire to be involved in sport administration at the provincial level. The position provides communications and administrative support to Section office and provides developmental, communications and technical support to Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Officials.

This position is a Maternity Leave Replacement and is effective from approximately October 25th, 2010 to November 15th, 2011, pending formal notification by the incumbent.

The ACAC is the provincial sport association responsible for the promotion, organization and development of intercollegiate athletics in the province of Alberta. Membership consists of 16 public colleges, private university colleges, technical institutions, and universities. The ACAC is a member of the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA).

Special Olympics Alberta is currently seeking enthusiastic, resourceful candidates for two positions: Special Events & Administration, and Sport Development.

• This is a full time salaried position averaging 35 hrs per week (1800 hrs/yr) with considerable seasonal variation, and will require some weekend and evening commitment.
• This position will require occasional travel in Alberta and expenses are met as per the associations travel policy.

• Starting date is November 15, 2010, with a first review and renegotiation at six months, second review at 12 months and then every 12 months thereafter.
