City of Edmonton Salute to Excellence Awards
The Salute to Excellence Committee is currently gathering nominations to recognize and honour Edmonton’s most outstanding citizens who, through their participation in sports, have made exemplary contributions to the quality of life in Edmonton. Deadline for submission is February 22, 2008.

Canadian Sport Policy Update
Federal-Provincial/Territorial Priorities for Collaborative Action 2007–2012 has just been released. For more information, click here.

Sports Travel Grant
Sport travel grants assist Edmonton residents with the cost of travel to western Canadian, national or international sports championships in which they compete. For more information, click here.

Seeking Olympians & Paralympians to help promote Edmonton
As the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics approach, Edmonton Tourism and Travel Alberta International are developing a video highlighting short testimonials by local athletes on why they love Alberta - and in our case, why they love Edmonton. If you're a local Olympian or Paralympian (previous or hopeful), contact Kelly (969-0481) or Jenifer (917-7890).

ASRPWF Athlete of the Year Nominations
The Alberta Athlete of the Year program recognizes the significant achievements, performances and contributions of amateur athletes at the international level. Nomination deadline is February 1, 2008.

Canadian Sport Awards
The True Sport Foundation is calling for nominations for the 35th Canadian Sport Awards. The nomination period ends on January 18, 2008 and will recognize excellence in sport in 2007. For more information, click here.

Volunteer - Canadian Francophone Games Edmonton 2008
The volunteer division has set a goal to recruit 500 volunteers and draw English clients to volunteer at this event. For more information, click here.
