Developing Physical Literacy Seminar - May 21
Please join the ASRPWF in launching Developing Physical Literacy…a new resource of Canadian Sport for Life. Presenter Dr. Colin Higgs is a member of Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Expert Group. Registration deadline: TODAY May 14. For more information, click here.

Employment Standards Workshop for the Non-Profit Sector
On Thursday May 22 (1-4:30 p.m.), Alberta Employment and Immigration is offering a FREE 3-hour workshop on employment standards, reference materials for the workplace, and additional resources. Please RSVP by Wednesday May 14 to Kathy Holler.

2009 Canada Summer Games - Mission Staff Needed
Team Alberta is seeking individuals to participate as Mission Staff for the Games being held August 15 - 29 in Prince Edward Island.

Alberta Community Spirit Program
The Community Spirit Donation Grant Program encourages charitable giving by providing a grant to eligible organizations that have received cash donations from individual donors.

Alberta non-profit sport organizations registered under the Societies Act are eligible for this program.

Sports Travel Grant
Sport travel grants assist Edmonton residents with the cost of travel to western Canadian, national or international sports championships in which they compete. For more information, click here.

City of Edmonton Hosting Grants
The 2007 application and guide for the Hosting Grant program is available on the City's website.

SportFit is an interactive program to get children and youth interested in physical activity by discovering new sports!

Volunteers Needed - Special Olympics Track & Field Meet
Special Olympics Edmonton is hosting this Meet on June 7-8. This event is the qualifier for Canada Games for Athletics. Volunteer training is provided. Volunteers can phone 448-1886 or email.

JP Wolves Dinner/Dance Fundraiser - May 17
The JP Wolves are holding a Dinner/Dance with a silent auction to raise funds to help send a group of young ladies to Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The fundraiser is at the St. Charles Church at 17511-112 Street starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are only $20.00 and include free parking and your first beverage. For tickets, call Blair at 289-4677.

Snow Valley Golf Classic - May 26
Snow Valley is hosting this event at the Derrick Golf Club in partnership with Special Olympics Edmonton. For more information, click here.

The King's Kick-Off Golf Tournament
On Friday, May 30, the King's University College Athletics Department will be hosting a Kick-off Golf Tournament, with the inaugural On Wings of an Eagle Benefit Golf Classic set for Saturday, September 6. Both events will take place at the Northern Bear Golf and Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature course, located near Sherwood Park.
