Growing up, my parents encouraged me to stay physically active, putting me in a variety of sports and activities. I then developed a love for fitness, training to enhance my athletic ability.
Graduating high school in 2018 I made the decision to study Personal Fitness Training at NAIT. While I was studying at NAIT, I had the opportunity to coach junior high basketball and track & field with Edmonton Islamic Academy. Coaching sports and studying in the Personal Fitness Trainer Program allowed me to perceive diversity in the fitness field.
I graduated from the Personal Fitness Trainer Program in April. With that, I have received a Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma, have become a CSEP Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist.
In August I started @kidfit.yeg with the goal of educating children on the importance of maintaining an overall healthy and active lifestyle. The purpose of Kid Fit is to support children being physically active which will help build strength, coordination, functional movements, confidence, and healthy habits.
Throughout this pandemic I have been staying active with outdoor activities such as biking and skating. Physical activity can be done anytime, anywhere!
