Riding my bike around the beautiful city of Edmonton is a big part of my life. Often you can see me with my team, the Edmonton Road and Track Club and the Rocky Mountain Seniors Ski Club in the winter, but this year due to the cohorting and restrictions of the pandemic, I have not been able meet up with them and get active.
Since I am retired, I usually spend a lot of my time officiating athletics, triathlon and bike racing, but since these activities have not been occurring much, I have taken an easy approach to getting active in my everyday life. Instead of getting into a car and driving to the grocery store, I take a 20 minute walk and listen to my podcasts. It is so easy and I get to enjoy catching up on my learning at the same time.
