Being active as a family is important to me.

Having my degree in Kinesiology and being a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, I understand the physical and mental health benefits of living an active lifestyle. This passion of mine is why I started my own company in Edmonton focusing on family fitness and wellness.

Being a mom to 3 daughters, I recognize the importance of being a healthy role model and why it is so important to create healthy habits together as a family. Knowing that 1:3 girls leave sports by late adolescence (Canadian Women & Sport, 2020), I want to make sure that I am building a solid foundation so they have the confidence in themselves to participate in sports and physical activity both as a child, teenager and adult.

As a family, we are constantly exploring and seeking adventures. We love going on nature walks in the mountains, biking in the river valley, golfing and sometimes going off the beaten path to find cool fossils in rocks. I love watching them as they explore nature, and the excitement on their faces when they find a quartz stone or a neat tree to climb is priceless. Being physically active doesn’t need to cost a lot of money. Just getting outside and exploring the world through your children’s eyes is all we need to appreciate the beautiful city, province and country we live in!
