Taxpayers who pay child care expenses in order to work, carry on a business or undertake certain educational activities may be able to claim payments for child care expenses made for day camps and day sports schools where the primary goal of the camp is to care for children (an institution offering a sports study program does not qualify); or to boarding schools, overnight sports schools, or camps where lodging is involved. Taxpayers whose children participate in similar dance programs and/or active recreation programs may also be eligible to claim a child care expense deduction. The Canada Revenue Agency has the authority to determine whether any claim for a credit will be approved.
Please keep the receipts that you receive at the time of registration.
